Kim leads all strategic and creative aspects of the College’s multi-faceted fundraising and alumni and parent engagement efforts. Under Kim’s direction, the 35-person advancement team drives leadership gifts; gift planning; corporate, foundation, and government relations; alumni and parent engagement; the Camel Athletics Network; annual giving; donor relations; and advancement services. Kim is currently directing the most ambitious campaign in Conn’s history, the $300M Defy Boundaries comprehensive campaign.
Since July 2021, Kim has also been serving as interim vice president for marketing and communications as the College conducts a national search for its next vice president. In this interim role, Kim oversees Conn’s marketing and communications and its 11-person team, which is responsible for the writing, design, and management of all College print, web, social media, and video communications.
Kim has over 25 years of fundraising experience, both in higher education and in the nonprofit sector. She holds both the B.S. in business administration and the M.S. in education from Bucknell University. During her seven years in Bucknell’s advancement team, she oversaw alumni, parent, and volunteer programs and served as a major gift officer, including during the University’s early $150 million campaign. She went on to serve as a senior development officer for the Albany Medical Center and as the director of advancement at the Albany Academies. In 2012, she joined the advancement division of Skidmore College as associate vice president and campaign director. In March 2017, she was named interim vice president and was responsible for all aspects of Skidmore’s $200M campaign.
