John Anthony is the college organist. Anthony's courses include Making Music at the Keyboard, Basic Keyboard Skills, Seminar in Music History, and History of Western Music.

John Anthony was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Arkansas. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with majors in organ and French and received a Ph.D. from Yale University in Music History. He taught at Bates College and at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. In 1971, he came to Connecticut College, where he is currently a Professor of Music and College Organist. He currently serves as co-chair of the Music Department.

He has played recitals throughout New England and in Europe. Anthony is a member and past dean of the New London County Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He is organist and choirmaster at St. John's Episcopal Church in Niantic, Connecticut.
