Under the direction of head coach Jeff Bresnahan, the Connecticut College sailing program consistently produces all-Americans and Olympians. Over two decades, his women's and coed teams have ranked regularly in the top 20 in the nation. Last year, the program posted its best-ever finish, with both teams qualifying for nationals, and Bresnahan was honored as the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association coach of the year.

How does Bresnahan do it? Recruiting and developing new talent, a boathouse on campus and a sensitive balance of academics and athletics are all part of the formula, according to an article in the Spring 2012 issue of the College's alumni magazine.
