NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's soccer team continues to compete at the highest level in the classroom and on the field. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has honored Head Coach Kenny Murphy and the entire roster with the Team Academic Award.
The Camels compiled a mean grade point average of 3.25 this year. In addition to the NSCAA Honor, five members of the squad were honored on the New England Small College Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
Senior Isaac Hancock (Gettysburg, Pa.) was recognized for his academic prowess on the Capital One Academic All-District Two Men's Soccer First Team in Division III.
Head Coach Kenny Murphy was impressed with the team's commitment to excellence in the classroom and on the field.
"The number one goal of the program is that we make the All-Academic Team," Coach Murphy said.
