Karen "Karie" Lord, a member of the Dining team, died June 28, 2021.
She started at the College in 2001 as a snack shop attendant and was promoted to Lead Snack Shop Attendant in 2007. She worked the late-night shift in Oasis during her entire career at the College.
She was a good woman, a wonderful member of the College staff and a bright light in the snack shop, with a good word and a ready smile for everyone who came in. So exceptional was her service that she was nominated for a Presidential Staff Award for excellence in 2019. The College was fortunate to have her as a member of our community for 19 long years.
