Specialized Resources
Dear Members of the Connecticut College Community,
Below you will find a video message that I made with Emma Benington ’20, president of the senior class, about our Commencement plans for the Connecticut College Class of 2020. The long-range uncertainties caused by the coronavirus have unfortunately made it necessary for us to postpone the public ceremony of College’s 102nd Commencement, scheduled for May 17. Our new plan is to hold that ceremony next year, on May 30, 2021, during Memorial Day weekend.
I wanted you to have this announcement because you may receive questions from seniors who received it earlier today. The change of plans represents, of course, a great loss for everyone. But the public health risks left us no choice. A special remote event is now being planned to recognize our graduates on their originally scheduled date of May 17. You will be hearing more about this in the coming weeks.
Our schedule for Reunion has been similarly revised. Reunion classes received their own announcement today about the postponement of Reunion 2020 to June 2021. We envision a very special double Reunion celebration the weekend of June 4-6, 2021, and look forward to sharing those plans as they are developed.
Yours,
Katherine Bergeron
President
