Dear Members of the Campus Community,

We continue to monitor news of Hurricane Harvey’s horrific impact on Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast. I know how difficult it is to be away from family and friends, and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you who may be affected by this epic storm.

Connecticut College is a deeply caring community, and at times like these, we come together. The deans have already been in touch with students from the region, but we know many of you may be concerned about loved ones. Please know that there are people who can offer support, from Student Counseling Services, to the office of Religious and Spiritual Life, to the Dean of the Faculty office, to the Employee Assistance program.

I recently reached out to our alumni in the region to express concern from the College. In the coming weeks, we will be discussing ways that our community can be a part of the recovery efforts and we invite your ideas.

Thank you for your commitment and compassion.

Yours,

Katherine Bergeron
