Open to all majors, the Goodwin-Niering Center’s Certificate Program in Environmental Sustainability allows accepted students to cultivate their interests in an environmental topic of their choosing.

Through interdisciplinary coursework, a themed paid internship or research experience, and a senior project - center scholars are able to delve into and explore their chosen topic in depth across the liberal arts curriculum.

Center scholars of all disciplines, and across class years participate in peer-to-peer discussion based certificate seminars and a service learning project, as well as a number of relevant events throughout their time in the certificate program.

With unparalleled faculty, staff and center support, our program educates and prepares students for real-world contemporary situations in which environmental issues play a significant role. Evident in our amazing scholars and alumni, our program facilitates a supportive community of forward thinkers and passionate environmental leaders.
