Dozens of alumni – including David Barber ’88, a restaurateur and sustainable food advocate – were on campus to speak or spend time with other Camels.

Investment club hears from two of their own

The alumni offered advice about equity analysis and credit metrics to about 40 students. Both Lukhele and Cyran served on the executive board of the investment club during their years at Connecticut College and answered many questions ranging from credit-default swaps to job-search and interview tips.

How to Make It in the World of Law

On Feb. 15 three attorneys came to campus to speak about their careers in a panel discussion organized by Margaret Rogers ’11 in connection with the Office of Career Enhancing Life Skills.

William Rogers, who practices corporate law, told students, “There’s no one background for going into law. The law brings together a lot of different disciplines.”

Panelists included Krystle Guillory Tadesse ’05 of Brown, Sherry & Geller; James Rogers ’04, who is completing a year of service in AmeriCorps; James’s father, William Rogers P’04; and Margaret Rogers. The panel was moderated by Simon Feldman, assistant professor of philosophy.

Dinner with 12 Strangers gives alumni opportunities to meet students, faculty, staff
Over 100 members of the campus community registered for the annual Dinner with 12 Strangers this year – a number so large that it warranted a waitlist.

Freshman Meredith Boyle ’13, one of the many students taking part, took advantage of the opportunity to meet alumni over dinner. Read more about her experience or view photos.
