Three alumni selected for Athletic Hall of Fame induction

Three alumni, who played a total of five different sports, will be inducted into the Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 24, during Fall Weekend. They are:

- Susan Mabrey Gaud, a member of the class of 1968. Gaud, of Evanston, Ill., majored in chemistry and played tennis, field hockey, basketball and lacrosse during her career at Connecticut College. Gaud is also the parent of an alumnus from the class of 2007.

- Kim Holliday McElderry, a member of the class of 1997. McElderry, of Stamford, Conn., majored in psychology-based human relations and played field hockey.

- Sarah Pitt, a member of the class of 1986. Pitt, of Cos Cob, Conn., majored in economics and was a swimmer.

The three will be honored during a ceremony in the Hall of Fame Room at the Charles B. Luce Fieldhouse the evening of the 24th, with a public unveiling of their names. The ceremony will be followed by a dinner for the inductees. The Athletic Hall of Fame, created in 1989, honors those who have brought distinction to themselves and the College through their achievement, commitment, sportsmanship and leadership in athletics.
