Men´s Varsity Four, Women´s Second Varsity Four Notch Wins in Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass.--The Connecticut College rowing teams competed in their second regatta of the spring season on Lake Quinsigamond in Central Massachusetts Saturday. The Camel men's varsity four and women's second varsity four posted victories for the Camels in Worcester.
In the men's varsity four regatta, senior captain Dan Stewart (North Andover, Mass.) and the Camels posted a winning time of 6:59.2. MIT was the runner up in 6:59.83 and the WPI B boat placed third (7:09.63).
In the women's second varsity four, the Camels edged the Ephs of Williams College by 5.12 seconds with a winning time of 7:44.4. Sophomore Robin Ly (Lexington, Mass.) served as the coxswain. Miriam Singer (Lyndhurst, Oh.) handled the stroke row. Jenna Fitch (Lakeville, Conn.) and Flora Drury (Vinalhaven, Maine) were joined by Jessica Freeland (Westport, Conn.) in the bow seat.
In the women's novice four, Williams held off the Camels in a close race with a time of 7:46.3. Connecticut College posted a time of 7:50.26 and the Simmons Sharks were third in 8:33.75. Arianna Puleo (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) was the coxswain for the Camels. Lesley Gaughan (Weston, Mass.) sat in the stroke seat. Kayla Erikson (Goshen, Conn.) and Alex Heilman (Wayland, Mass.) were joined by Abbe Schickner (Norwich, Vt.) in the bow seat.
In the women's varsity four, the Camels were third with a time of 7:54.4. Williams won the regatta in 7:38.8 and WPI was second in 7:47.7.
Senior Katie Williams (Clinton, N.Y.) served as the coxswain for the Camels while Jessica Truelove (Bethlehem, Conn.) was seated in the stroke seat. Nancy Wallace (Cos Cob, Conn.), Janan Evans-Wilent (Ithaca, N.Y.) were joined by Mara Hochman (Santa Rosa, Calif.) in the bow seat.
