Mount Holyoke 5, Connecticut College 4 Heupel Posts Win at #1 Singles for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn. -The Mount Holyoke College women´s tennis team (2-2) notched a 5-4 victory against Connecticut College (0-1) Wednesday. Sophomore Elise Marifiian (Belleville, Ill.) led the visiting Lions to the victory.

Marifian won a 6-4, 6-4 decision at #2 singles and teamed up with Ashley Fallon (Mansfield, Mass.) on an 8-6 triumph at #1 doubles. Sarah London (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) chipped in with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at #4 singles.

Connecticut College sophomore Becca Heupel (Eden Prairie, Minn.) earned a 4-6, 6-0, 7-6 victory at #1 singles. Alicia Cauteruccio (West Roxbury, Mass.) posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at #3 singles for the Camels.
