Legal journalist Jeffrey Toobin to speak at Connecticut College May 30

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Jeffrey Toobin, a staff writer at The New Yorker since 1993 and Emmy-award winning legal analyst for CNN, will speak Friday, May 30, at 8 p.m. in Evans Hall, Cummings Arts Center, at Connecticut College. A Q&A and book signing will follow.
The talk, which is part of Connecticut College´s reunion weekend, is free and open to the public.
Toobin is one of the most recognized and admired legal journalists in the country. His most recent book, "The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court," spent more than four months on the New York Times best-seller list and was named one of the 10 best books of the year by the New York Times, Time, Newsweek, Fortune, Entertainment Weekly, and the Economist.
Connecticut College´s reunion is May 30 - June 1. Every year, nearly 1,000 Connecticut College graduates return to campus during the annual reunion weekend. This year, events planned for alumni include hot air balloon rides, a carnival and clambake, class receptions and dinners and a parade through campus.
Among the most selective private liberal arts colleges in the nation, Connecticut College enrolls 1,900 men and women from 41 states, the District of Columbia and 71 countries. The college is known for putting the liberal arts into action through interdisciplinary studies, international programs, funded internships, student-faculty research and service learning. Founded in 1911, the college operates under an 86-year-old honor code. The college is located at 270 Mohegan Ave, New London, about two hours by car from Boston and New York.
