Camels Finish 7th at New England Team Racing Championship

CRANSTON, R.I. --The Connecticut College sailing team competed for the Fowle Trophy in the New England Team Racing Championship at Cranston, R.I. this weekend. The Camels advanced into Sunday´s championship bracket with a 3-4 mark in Saturday´s competition. Connecticut College completed the weekend with a seventh place finish in the 12 team field.

Boston College won the Trophy with a 16-3 record for the weekend. The Brown University Bears posted a 14-5 mark to take second place. Harvard was 12-7 in a third place finish.

Senior Dave Meleney (Greenwich, Conn.), Charlie Modica (Jupiter, Fla.), Mike Marshall (Jamestown, R.I.), Bob Willis (Chicago, Ill.), Kelly Arabia (Braintree, Mass.), Elizabeth Hawkins (Fairfield, Conn.) and Sarah Shear (Worcester, Mass.) competed for the Camels at the championship.
