Camel Women Win in Varsity Four at Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass.--The Connecticut College men´s and women´s rowing teams competed against Clark, Trinity, Wesleyan, Vermont, Bowdoin and WPI in a regatta on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester Saturday. In the women´s varsity four, the Camels topped the six team field with a winning time of 8:01.3. The Camel women were victorious in the novice eight, defeating Trinity and Vermont with a time of 7:58.9

In the second varsity four, the Camel women placed second with a time of 8:11.5. Trinity topped the five team field with a time of 7:45.4. The Camel women finished second in the novice four with a time of 8:44.1.

In the men´s regatta, the Camels finished third in the second varsity four with a time of 7:53.9. Vermont posted a time of 7:19.0 to secure the victory with Bowdoin taking second in 7:20.0. The Camels logged a time of 7:23.1 in a fourth place performance in the varsity four. The Vermont Catamounts topped the five team field with a time of 7:15.9. Bowdoin and Trinity finished in second and third place in the regatta with respective times of 7:18.2 and 7:19.7.
