Trinity 17, Connecticut College 13 Christopher-Coit Net Four Goals Apiece in Season Finale for Camels

Hartford, Conn. - Senior captain attacker C.J. Yanofsky (Needham, Mass.) had five goals and two assists to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 17-13 win NESCAC victory against Connecticut in the regular season finale for both clubs. The Bantams their regular season at 9-5 overall and 6-2 in the NESCAC. The Camels close out the season with a 7-8 record and a 2-7 mark in league play.
Connecticut College struck first with a goal from sophomore Sara Christopher (Andover, Mass.), but nine straight Bantam goals in an 11-minute span helped Trinity close the half with a 12-5 lead. The Camels opened the second with a 5-0 run to get back in the game and close the gap to two goals. The Bantams answered with a 5-1 run, before Connecticut College added two more in an effort to make a late-game comeback before running out of time.
First-year Caitlyn Irvine (Westwood, Mass.) had four goals and classmate Rachel Romanowsky (Hamstead, N.H.) scored three to go along with two assists for the Bantams. Christopher and senior Lindsey Coit (South Portland, Maine) had four goals apiece for the Camels.
Trinity senior goalkeeper Michelle Smith (Wayland, Mass.) made 10 stops in net and Connecticut College sophomore Jenna Ross (Longmeadow, Mass.) made 15 saves for the Camels.
