Hawkins Named to All-New England Team for Camels

All-NEISA Crew-Elizabeth Hawkins ´08 Sailing with Maggie Shea ´11

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Connecticut College senior Elizabeth Hawkins of Fairfield, Conn. has been named to the All-New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) team. Hawkins was one of 10 crewmembers honored in the region.

Hawkins and teammate Maggie Shea led the Camels to a sixth place finish in the B division at the New England Championship last weekend. In the classroom, Hawkins has distinguished herself as a Dean´s List Student. She has been honored by the history department for her academic excellence.

Connecticut College head coach Jeff Bresnahan was pleased with the recognition for his senior.

"Elizabeth has been very versatile for us," Bresnahan stated. "As we get ready for this national championship, she will be spending more time with the coed team."

Hawkins will receive her degree in History and Art History this May.
