Connecticut College 8, Coast Guard 1 Camels End Season with Victory

Craig Stanton ยด11 Won a 7-6, 6-2 Decision at #5 Singles Tuesday

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men´s tennis team (4-13) closed out the 2008 season with an 8-1 victory against the Coast Guard Academy (3-13) Tuesday. Freshman Trevor Prophet (Nashua, N.H.) cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at #1 singles. Ted McAusher (Mystic, Conn.) earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory at #3 singles for the Camels.

Andrew Watts (West Chester, Pa.), Craig Stanton (Warwick, R.I.) and Reid Larsen (Watertown, Mass.) posted straight set victories in their respective slots at #4, 5 and #6 singles.

Senior Ryan Beck (Freehold, N.J.) accounted for the Coast Guard point with a 7-6, 6-3 triumph at #1 singles.

David Kellogg (Kula, Hi.) and Prophet combined on an 8-4 victory at #1 doubles for the Camels.
