Connecticut College to sponsor Earth Day-Community Day celebration April 19

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Connecticut College will host an Earth Day-Community Day celebration with a variety of events for children and adults on the college green from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 19. The rain date is April 20.
The environment-themed activities will include guided arboretum tours, storytelling, crafts, games, dancing, food, music and more.
Some of the event´s many participants will include the Connecticut College Arboretum, Sierra Club-New England Chapter, Terra Firma Farm, Girl Scouts, SolarWrights, Coast Guard Academy Sustainability Club, Mystic Paper Beasts, Fiddleheads, Shaklee Corporation, New London Public Library, Urban Eden Soap Company, Connecticut Youth Activist Network, Reforest the Tropics, artist Anne Pugsley, singer Geoff Kaufman and a number of Connecticut College student groups.
