Bert Seager Trio to perform at Connecticut College March 24

NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Bert Seager Trio will perform a free, public concert at 7 p.m. in the Fortune Music Hall, Cummings Arts Center, at Connecticut College March 24.

The Bert Seager Trio features Jorge Reder on bass, percussionist Richie Barshay and Bert Seager playing the jazz piano.

Prior to the concert, the trio will be rehearsing with the Connecticut College Jazz Band. The rehearsal, at 4:30 p.m. in Evans Hall, Cummings Arts Center, is also free and open to the public.

Pianist and composer Bert Seager has been a leading player on the jazz scene in Boston since 1981. He has led tours with his band in Japan, Canada, Jordan, Bulgaria and the United States. His 10 internationally released compact discs have won him unanimous critical acclaim from the New York Times, Keyboard Magazine, The Boston Globe and many other publications.
