Connecticut College's funded internship program, which gives students the freedom to create their own internships, was highlighted in a Wall Street Journal story published March 6, 2008.

Under the guidance of Connecticut College's career services counselors, Connecticut College students find challenging and engaging internships, often by designing the internships themselves. Connecticut College students are eligible for a $3,000 internship stipend from the college the summer between junior and senior year, which provides them the opportunity to work with organizations that don't typically accept interns.
