Connecticut College Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geophysics hosting spring lecture series

NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Connecticut College Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geophysics is hosting a series of three lectures throughout the spring. All will be held in the Olin Science Center, room 111, at 3:30 p.m., and are free and open to the public.

The seminar schedule is as follows:

- Feb. 29, "The Mechanical Properties of Light," by Jack Harris, assistant professor of physics at Yale University.

- April 11, "New Superconducting Detectors for Astronomy," by Dan Prober, chair of the Applied Physics Department at Yale University.

- April 25, "The Life and Works of Henri Pitot," by Claude Thiébeaux, chair of the Physics Department at the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne.
