Six Connecticut College alumni to speak about the business of professional sports Feb. 29

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Six Connecticut College alumni will speak about their careers on the business and marketing side of professional sports during a panel discussion Feb. 29 at 4:30 p.m. in the Ernst Common Room, Blaustein Humanities Center at Connecticut College.
The event is free and open to the public. The panel participants will include:
- Moderator Glenn Jacobs ´92, senior coordinating producer of ESPN´s "SportsCenter." Jacobs, a government major at Connecticut College, has been with ESPN for 15 years.
- David Gross ´88, commissioner of Major League Lacrosse. Gross, a history major at Connecticut College, is the league´s first-ever commissioner.
- Dr. Jonathan F. Katz ´78, clinical and sports psychologist. Katz, a psychology major at Connecticut College, works with NBA, NHL and MLB players as well as NCAA athletes.
- Keith Ritter ´77, former President, NHL Interactive Cyber Enterprise. Ritter, an English major at Connecticut College, joined the NHL from CBS Sports.
- Elizabeth Schlosser ´88, senior licensing strategist, NASCAR. Schlosser, an economics major at Connecticut College, grew NASCAR´s licensing business from $600 million to $1.1 billion in five years.
- Kimberly Williams ´90, chief operating officer of the NFL Network. Williams, an Asian studies major at Connecticut College, is responsible for the day-to-day management of the network.
