The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) has named 25 Connecticut College student-athletes to the 2007 Fall All-Academic Team.
To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.
"We are very proud of these students´ accomplishments," Fran Shields, the Katherine Wenk Christoffers ´45 Director of Athletics and Chair of Physical Education, said. "On the field and in the classroom, it was a successful season for our programs and student athletes."
Amy Crespi ´08, Emma Matthieson ´09 and Jenna Tjossem ´09 contributed to a 20-8 season for the Camel volleyball team. Keith Drake ´08 and Jill Sergi ´09 garnered All-New England honors for their standout performances in the New England Division III Cross Country Championship. Midfielder Rachael Schefrin ´08 served as a co-captain for the first Camel women´s soccer team to reach the NESCAC Championship Tournament in three years.
