Connecticut College Dance Department Concert Dec. 7 and 8

The Connecticut College Dance Department will present its annual concert Dec. 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. in the college´s Palmer Auditorium.

The concert will feature more than 40 students performing original modern dance pieces choreographed by Dance Department faculty members David Dorfman, Heidi Henderson, Adele Myers, Lisa Race and Lan-Lan Wang, and guest artist Amii LeGendre, a 1991 Connecticut College graduate. LeGendre returned to campus earlier this fall and worked with students to create her new work for the show.

Student-choreographed pieces presented this year are by senior dance majors Halee Beucler and Zenas Hutcheson. Their work also will be performed at the 2008 American College Dance Festival Association´s New England Region Conference, hosted by Connecticut College in February. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $6 for students and seniors.
