November 09, 2007
NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College senior forward Jackie Wade of Medfield, Massachusetts has been named to the All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women´s soccer team. Wade tallied a team-high five goals and 12 points for the Camels this fall, helping the team reach the conference post-season championship tournament for the first time in three years.
Wade completed her career with 15 goals, seven assists and 37 points for the Camels. A Dean´s List student, Wade will receive her government degree this spring to go with a minor in psychology.
On September 29, Wade tallied the game-winning score in a 2-1 overtime victory against Wesleyan. The victory proved to be the difference in the standings that vaulted the Camels into the NESCAC post-season championship tournament for the first time since 2004.
Connecticut College head coach Winnie Edmed commended her senior for receiving this recognition from the NESCAC.
"We are so happy for Jackie and our program," Edmed stated. "Making the All NESCAC team was one of her goals this season. She is very deserving as she had her best season of her four year career. We will miss her work ethic, leadership and determination next year."
