Connecticut College Theater Department to present "Naga-Mandala" Nov. 15 - 18

NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Connecticut College Department of Theater will present Girish Karnad´s "Naga-Mandala," a play based on two traditional Indian oral tales, in the college´s Tansill Theater Nov. 15 through 18.
Performances are scheduled Nov. 15 and 16 at 8 p.m., Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.
Naga-Mandala tells the story of Rani, an unhappy young bride who falls in love with a cobra that visits her every night in the form of her philandering husband. This tale plays out before a cursed playwright, who has been condemned to remain awake all night or be struck dead.
Tim Golebiewski, a lecturer in the Department of Theater at Connecticut College, will direct.
