Amherst 7, Connecticut College 2 Mauer, Roe Tally Scores for Camels

AMHERST, Mass.--The Amherst College Lord Jeffs (8-5, 4-4) built a 4-0 lead and went on to defeat Connecticut College (6-7, 2-6) 7-2 in a NESCAC field hockey game played under the lights at Amherst, Massachusetts Tuesday night. Sophomore Molly Malloy exploded with five goals for the hosts. Senior Jill Mauer and junior Jenny Roe supplied scores for the Camels. Courtney Smith and Kristen Dirmaier contributed assists for the visitors.
Jamie Sheahan finished with 17 saves for the Camels. Kathleen Boucher had four stops for the Lord Jeffs.
The Camels will host Tufts University this Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. game in New London.
