Connecticut College Arboretum holding all day herb seminar Oct. 13

New London, Conn. - The Connecticut College Arboretum will hold an all day herb seminar, "At Home with Herbs: Living the Herbal Way," on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The seminar will include the following lectures: "Herbs and Family Care" presented by Sarah Greene; "First Aid Care with Herbs" by Joanne Grubert; "Cleaning with Herbal Products" by Joann Warren; "Our Daily Bread" by Amy Hicks; and "The Principles of Aromatherapy" by Carol Gauthier.
Herbs are treasured by many people, not only for the beauty they impart to any garden, but also for their practical uses. In this seminar, participants will learn how to incorporate herbs into their daily lives and create a healthier and more environmentally friendly home.
The seminar will be held on the Connecticut College campus in the Olin Science Center Lounge. Registration, which is required, is $61 for Arboretum members and $72 for the general public. (The registration fee includes the cost of lunch and breaks.)

The Connecticut College Arboretum was established in 1931 on the campus of Connecticut College, a private liberal arts institution. Today, the Arboretum encompasses approximately 750 acres of preserved open space in the city of New London and the town of Waterford in southeastern Connecticut, including the Connecticut College campus.
