 Vacation is accrued at a monthly rate of 11.91 hours per month (20 days per year) for full-time employees. If you work less than 37.5 hours per week, you will accrue paid vacation time in proportion to the number of hours worked. Vacation may not be used before it is earned and may not be accumulated in excess of 25 days.
 If you are employed in a benefits eligible, academic year position (1000 hours per year), you will have two weeks of paid time off annually which must be taken during academic breaks. If you work less than full time your two weeks of paid time off will be calculated as your normally scheduled hours.
 It is important that the department is appropriately staffed at all times and that the actual vacation times taken are recorded and kept on file. You must submit your vacation request to your supervisor in advance and the leave must be for no less than a half day period. Scheduling of such leave is subject to the department head's approval.
