Connecticut College provides for employee retirement through Teachers' Insurance and Annuity Association/College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA/CREF). This agreement provides for several distribution options upon retirement.
Upon completion of two years of continuous employment at the College at a minimum schedule of 1000 hours per year, or upon providing proof of having met TIAA-CREF eligibility criteria at a prior institution, the College will contribute an amount equal to 10% of your annual basic earnings to a Regular Retirement Annuity account, regardless of your personal contributions.
You must complete enrollment forms with the Office of Human Resources to initiate personal or college contributions. You may change your level of personal contribution one time per quarter.
