Application Deadlines

Early Decision 1: November 15

Early Decision 2: January 1

Regular Decision: January 1

We understand that as students go through the application process, they may encounter unexpected challenges that prevent them from meeting certain application requirements. We are committed to offering flexibility with deadlines or other requirements for students who experience a complication in applying, whether born out of a personal challenge or a natural disaster. Please contact us to discuss circumstances impacting a student's application and how we can support the student.

Demonstrated interest

Connecticut College considers demonstrated interest as an important factor in our Regular Decision admission decisions. Students can demonstrate interest in the College by:

  • Visiting campus
  • Interviewing on campus
  • Visiting with admission counselors during their fall travel (high school visits and college fairs)
  • Participating in off-campus interviews (with admission counselors and alumni)

Why demonstrated interest?

We are actively looking for students who would most benefit from a Connecticut College education and see this as one of their primary choices for post-secondary education. We will not penalize students who come from geographic, socioeconomic or cultural backgrounds that would prevent them from meeting any of the traditional demonstrated metrics listed above. We continue to be committed to providing access to Connecticut College to students from underrepresented backgrounds.

We also place great emphasis on counselor calls as we want your input included in our deliberations.

Interviews

We encourage rising seniors and prospective transfer students to interview. Our counselors offer interviews on the road as they can. Invitations to interview are automatically emailed to prospective students on our mailing list who live in the area where counselors are offering interviews and who haven’t already interviewed. Otherwise, you and your students can find out where a counselor will be offering interviews by checking the travel schedule.

Students who interview on campus in the fall, when counselors are traveling, are likely to meet with an Admission Fellow. Fellows are current seniors who have been specially trained to conduct admission interviews.
