Study Away, Teach Away is a semester-long faculty directed program that provides a group of students the unique opportunity to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of political, economic and social systems different from their own. It is a way for students to develop a deeper, more meaningful relationship with their professors, peers and local communities. Connecticut College faculty have been directing SATA programs for over twenty years.

During the SATA semester, you carry a regular course load taking classes offered by the Connecticut College professor(s) as well as faculty at the host institution. The academic focus varies from one country to another and from one year to the next, depending on the academic interests of the professors leading the program.

SATA programs include international airfare and local group field trips that develop an appreciation for the history, culture and social customs of the country or region where you are studying.
